From always using friends’ or cousin’s products to dreaming of owning my own
The very first time I had my makeup done-by one of my cousins, I loved it. I loved how I looked like, the blush-how fresh it made me look to the mascara that made my eyes pop. The second time I got my makeup done, I had the will of doing my own makeup, with my own products with my very own hands. Back then, I was a student and I was not earning. Whatever savings I had from my pocket money, that was not enough to buy even a set of basic products. Even when I had just enough savings, I could’nt decide whether to buy them or not because-you know-neccesities vs wants. Necessities win.
Taking the decision
After few years, when I was in Bangkok for my internship, I made an impulsive decision while strolling through Watson and Watsons-where we had gone to buy a bottle of shampoo. Seeing all those makeup on the shelves, I just could not control buying it. I thought to myself how I had been dreaming of owning makeup but never got the courage to do it. So it was a now or never situation for me. So me with my fellow friend, who was more clueless than me about what kind of products to buy, took help from the ladies there and wallah-after spending an hour or so, we bought my first ever set of makeup products. We bought a tube of CC-cream which the lady who helped us there convinced us that it was a foundation, a blush, a lipstick, an eyelash curler, a beauty blender, an eyeshadow palette, a blush brush and a small set of brushes which contained a foundation brush, a spoolie and 3 eye brushes.
